Vijay Deverakonda loses his name, time, and money on this project and he also went beyond to promote the Puri Jagannadh and trusted him blindly. And as a result, he lost all credibility for overestimating the movie and he did not profit financially.

The Kushi movie is directed by Shiva Nirvana of Majili fame. And, according to the reports, the makers of Kushi have locked the deal for the USA distribution rights of the film and it is a big one.
